This project revitalized a home in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, by transforming a dated kitchen and dining area into a bright, open, and highly functional space. The removal of a load-bearing wall dramatically altered the layout, creating a seamless flow between the kitchen and dining room. The relocation of the refrigerator to the back wall, along with the addition of a spacious island and a dedicated coffee bar, significantly enhanced the kitchen's usability. The homeowners now enjoy a modern kitchen featuring white shaker cabinets extending to the ceiling, quartz countertops, and a carefully designed lighting scheme. The transformation is striking, moving from a compartmentalized, dim space with honey-toned oak cabinets and a dark green laminate countertop to a light-filled, unified area.
